Before using the multifunctional ion chromatograph, why not take a look at this article first
The multifunctional ion chromatograph is a new modular design high stability and multifunctional ion chromatograph, with comprehensive performance comparable to similar imported product models. Combined with the newly developed major specialized manufacturing technology, the product comes standard with bipolar pulse conductivity detector, UV column derivative detector, and electrochemical detector, with rich and powerful functions that users can flexibly match according to their needs; Combining gradient elution and column switching functions.
This product can also be applied in the fields of transition metals, complex food safety monitoring, biochemistry, as well as routine and trace detection in many fields such as environment, water quality, food, chemical industry, geology, etc.
Before using a multifunctional ion chromatograph, the following precautions should be taken:
1. The filter head in the mobile phase bottle should always be kept below the liquid level to prevent the solution from being sucked dry.
2. Before starting the pump, observe whether there are any bubbles in the pipeline between the mobile phase bottle and the pump. If there are, they should be eliminated.
The elimination method is as follows: First, unscrew the plastic flow path connector connected to the pump, fill it with deionized water with an ear wash ball, inject it from the flow path tube connected to the pump section, and remove any bubbles in the flow path tube. Then raise the mobile phase bottle (usually a deionized water bottle) and connect the flow path connector to the pump. Start the pump, open the exhaust valve selector button inside the pump, remove all bubbles from the pump, and observe that the outflow is relatively uniform. Then tighten the exhaust valve of the pump. (Note: During this operation, the entire flow path is disconnected from the chromatographic column)
3. When cleaning the entire flow path with deionized water or mobile phase, high flow cleaning can be used (usually set the flow rate to 2.0ml/min, but not too high) to shorten the cleaning time. However, when passing through the mobile phase chromatography column, the flow rate needs to be adjusted to the flow rate conditions used by the chromatography column.
The operation is as follows: first stop the pump, then press the positive or negative sign, adjust the cursor to the flow position, press the confirm button, adjust the flow rate to the chromatographic column usage condition by adjusting the positive or negative sign, and then press the confirm button. At this point, it is necessary to wait for 5 seconds before starting the pump switch.
When connecting the chromatography column, be sure to first press the connector onto the front end of the column for 2-5 seconds, remove any bubbles from the front end of the column, and then tighten the connector. After the solution flows out from the bottom of the chromatographic column, screw on the connector at the bottom of the column. (Note: The joint should not be tightened too tightly to prevent the pipeline from being stuck too tightly and causing an increase in system pressure. The degree of tightening should be such that there is no leakage.)
4. Use an anion chromatography column for detection. When passing the mobile phase, be sure to turn on the current knob and adjust it to 70 ± 5mA. After the experiment is complete, turn off the current before turning off the high-pressure pump.
5. Attention should be paid to the valve movement during the injection of the multifunctional ion chromatograph, and it should not be too fast to avoid damaging the valve body; It cannot be too slow to avoid sample loss. During the sampling process, it is necessary to strictly follow the cleaning procedure to minimize the impact of residual samples from the previous test on this detection.
