PerkinElmerA limited liability company is a quasi spherical company that focuses on three areas of business - life sciences, optoelectronics, and analytical instruments.
PerkinElmer was founded by Perkin Richard and Elmer Charles on April 19, 1937. In 1944, PerkinElmer entered a new field of analytical instruments and successfully launched the world's largest Taiwanese infrared spectrophotometer, the 12 model. This new technology is the * of modern chemical analysis methods. And it has enabled PerkinElmer to occupy the position of a global supplier of chemical analysis instruments. In May 1955, based on the technology developed by British researcher A.J. MartinPerkinElmer Company launches the world's largest Taiwanese gas chromatograph-154 model.
At the 1957 Pittsburgh Conference, the company launched the world's * dual beam infrared spectrometer 137, marking the beginning of low-cost infrared analysis and having significant implications for the analytical instrument industry at that time. In the late 1950s and 1960s, the company successively researched and developed gas chromatography technology and atomic absorption analysis technology. During this period, PerkinElmer Corporation dominated the world of analytical instruments with its creation of the * atomic absorption analyzer AA303. In 1972, the company entered the liquid chromatography market and successfully launched the Z-early liquid chromatograph-1220 model with gradient pumps. In 1975, the company introduced microcomputer technology into the 460 type atomic absorption spectrometer, making atomic absorption analysis easier and more effective.
Since the 1980s, PerkinElmer has been involved in the fields of inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy (ICP) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), and has successfully established a position in this field. *PerkinElmer's technology, advanced processes, and comprehensive customer service have made it synonymous with new technologies and improved products in the field of analytical instruments, and have won the sincere trust and support of analytical instrument customers. It has become one of the suppliers in the fields of chemical analysis instruments such as atomic spectroscopy (atomic absorption, inductively coupled plasma emission spectrometer, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer), molecular spectroscopy (Fourier transform infrared/near-infrared, ultraviolet/visible near-infrared spectrometer, fluorescence, optical rotation), gas chromatography and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, and thermal analysis systems (differential thermal analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, dynamic/static thermomechanical analyzer, synchronous thermal analyzer). PerkinElmer is also a leading player in the field of biochemistryballThe top three suppliers, especially in high-throughput drug screening, fully automated liquid processing and sample preparation, and genetic disease screening, are the world's top suppliers. The Z Life Science Department is composed of the Wallac multinational group (founded as Wallac Oy in Finland in 1950) and NEN Life Science Products (founded as New England Nuclear in 1956).
In 2001, the company integrated NEN Life Sciences and completed the acquisition of Packard BioScience. The Life Sciences Department has expanded by repositioning its business to high growth markets. Since 1999, PerkinElmer has invested over $1 billion in its Life Sciences business. In 2001, the Life Sciences Department developed and launched a record number of new products and technologies into the market, rapidly elevating itself to become a technology expert in proteomics, genomics, drug development, and genetic disease screening. Our strength lies in our comprehensive knowledge and experience in liquid handling, sample preparation, chemistry, testing, and information management. Our clients are also involved in a large number of research programs related to disease healthcare, ranging from discovering specific genes and understanding their functions to certifying biological targets for new drugs and screening candidate new drugs. Clinical screening programs can help identify high-risk populations in order to alleviate or prevent diseases in their future survival. With the rapid growth of PerkinElmer's business in China, PerkinElmer headquarters has increased its investment in China. In February 2006, PerkinElmer officially established the China Technology Center in Zhangjiang High tech Park, Shanghai. The new technology center building houses various departments of the company, including sales, logistics, maintenance, technical support, and customer service. At the same time, it will further develop into quanballLogistics and research and development base. We have established a large demonstration laboratory in the technology center in the Asia Pacific region and invested in equipment specifically to serve QuanballA 1000 level ultra clean laboratory for semiconductor industry analysis and application. In the demonstration laboratory, almost all of PerkinElmer's earlier models of life science and chemical analysis instruments can be seen. Multiple user training sessions are held every month, and value-added services such as method development and optimization are provided to customers. The establishment of the China Technology Center will lay a solid foundation for PerkinElmer to improve its service level to customers throughout China and even the entire Asia Pacific region.
Accompanied by quanballAs a responsibility of the recognized PerkinElmer brand, PerkinElmer LAS will extend its technology to Quan for application projectsballSales and maintenance lines. While developing our business, we will continue to improve the operation of our institutions and management processes, fulfilling our commitments to customers, investors, and employees.
