Principle of single screw puffing machine
When the puffing machine is working, the screw conveyor sends the powder to the conditioner, and after conditioning, it enters the extrusion chamber. With the cooperation of the extrusion screw and screw sleeve, the feed is subjected to various effects such as extrusion, shearing, kneading, and indirect heating of the inner sleeve of the machine barrel. Its internal temperature and pressure continue to increase, and the material gradually becomes plastic, gelatinous, and then forcibly extruded from the mold hole. Due to the large temperature and pressure gradient outside the mold hole, the material undergoes volume expansion and water vapor flash evaporation, forming puffed feed.
