1. Generally, wedge-shaped flow is equipped with front and rear measuring tubes, which can be installed and used horizontally or vertically. When the sensor is installed on a vertical pipeline, the fluid should flow from top to bottom. When measuring liquids, attention should be paid to ensuring that the differential pressure transmitter can flip over to eliminate bubbles, in order to avoid zero drift of the instrument;
2. The upstream and downstream sides of the sensor should be equipped with straight pipe sections, and the inner wall of the pipeline should be smooth, clean, and free of attachments;
3. When installed horizontally, the wedge differential pressure element should be at a 90 degree angle to the centerline of the pipeline. For vertical installation, due to the slight static pressure effect between the pressure points, it is necessary to pay attention to the zero adjustment of the differential pressure transmitter.
Precautions for installation of wedge flowmeter:
1. Installation should ensure smooth and direct fluid flow. It is advisable to avoid installing flow meters near regulating valves and semi open valves as much as possible.
2. Newly installed or repaired pipelines should be cleaned before operation to flush out rust, scale residue, and sludge inside the pipes.
3. The installation location should be chosen in a place with low vibration and impact, or vibration reduction measures should be taken.
4. When installing the flowmeter, the inner diameter of the sealing gasket must be larger than the inner diameter of the pipeline to prevent interference with the pipeline fluid.
5. For vertical installation, due to slight static thermal effects, it is necessary to pay attention to transmitter zeroing.
The wedge flowmeter has a simple and reliable structure, no movable or vulnerable parts, good wear resistance, and high operating accuracy.
