a、 Add enough distilled or deionized water to the bottom heating water tank to prevent the box from drying, cracking, and aging during heating.

b、 The water seal groove around the upper part of the box should be filled with an appropriate amount of distilled water or deionized water, which should not be too full or too little. It is best to ensure that water and salt spray do not overflow when closing the box cover.

c、 Add distilled water or deionized water to the air saturator (stainless steel bucket). Before adding water, open the vent valve and saturator water valve (as shown in Figure 1), and wait for the water level to reach the 4/5 position of the water level glass box. When the specified water level is reached, the vent valve must be closed, and the saturator water valve must be closed at the same time. Due to the experiment, the water in the saturator evaporates and is consumed. When the water level drops to 2/5, it should be replenished in time to prevent the heating tube from burning out due to lack of water, which may damage the saturator and internal heating elements.

d、 Check whether the water pipe between the water storage tank and the spray in the working room is well connected, and add the prepared salt solution (usually prepared at the concentration of 5%) into the water storage tank.

e、 Check the fog exhaust condition of the fog exhaust pipe at the rear of the box; Whether the trachea has fallen off and whether the outlet is connected to the sewer; Is the pipeline blocked; To avoid affecting the emission of salt spray.

f、 Set up the funnel inside the box and check if the connecting pipe between the funnel and the mist collector is unobstructed and intact. It must not affect the collection of salt spray sedimentation.

g、 Check the connection pipe between the gas source and saturator; Whether the connecting pipe between the air source and the spray falls off, so as to prevent gas overflow or insufficient air supply.

h、 Open the box cover and place the sample correctly on the sample rack in the studio (10% away from the surrounding chamber wall), maintaining a certain distance between the samples to expose a surface area of>98%, and then close the box cover.
