When there is a malfunction, leakage, or electrical discharge in the operating equipment, high-frequency short wave signals (ultrasonic waves) will be generated, which cannot be heard by the human ear. The Ultraprobe 9000 uses a unique heterodyne method to convert the detected ultrasonic signals into audible audio signals, which are transmitted to the human ear through headphones. The sound intensity changes are displayed in real-time on the LCD using a 16 segment bar chart, and the frequency and decibel values are digitally displayed.
