The CSD3 sunshine hours sensor produced by Kipp&Zonen is used for continuous measurement of sunshine hours. The instrument itself has no moving parts and low power consumption, making it capable of long-term observation in the field. It uses three specially designed photodiodes for observation and calculation in the presence of the sun (direct radiation intensity>120W/m2). The built-in heater of CSD3 can prevent adverse effects such as rain, snow, frost, etc. on observation, and an internal temperature regulating device can also be selected according to actual needs. The CSD3 sunshine hours sensor can be widely used in weather observation networks, agricultural research, and other fields, as well as providing daily sunshine hours for environmental information services in tourist resorts. In addition, it can also be integrated into the environmental control system of intelligent buildings to detect the internal lighting time and intensity.
