SpectraMax M3 is a patented dual set "filter+grating" continuous spectrum and multifunctional reading machine launched by Molecular Devices, which has excellent performance comparable to single function reading instruments. Its reading modes include light absorption (UV visible), fluorescence intensity (FI), and chemiluminescence (Lum). At the same time, the reading machine also has a built-in colorimetric dish slot, which can measure the reading light absorption, fluorescence intensity, and chemiluminescence separately. The adjustable wavelength monochromator and high-quality reading capability make the SpectraMax M3 multifunctional reader not only suitable for experimental development and scientific research, but also for low to medium flux drug screening.
main features
Patent dual set "filter+grating" optical path design

● Three function colorimetric dish detection (UV visible absorption, fluorescence, chemiluminescence)
application area
DNA, RNA, and protein quantification and purity testing, PicoGreen/NanoOrange/Bradford experiments, ELISAs/enzyme kinetics testing, drug degradation experiments, cell viability, cytotoxicity, cell proliferation testing, Caspase-3/7 and protease testing, CatchPoint cAMP/cGMP testing, tryptophan autofluorescence testing, green fluorescent protein testing, reporter gene testing, ADME Tox testing, FluoroBlokTM cell migration experiments, etc.
Experimental examples
The SpectraMax M3 multifunctional microplate reader has full wavelength chemiluminescence detection function, and the host is equipped with a dual detector system. It has an independent single photon counting PMT for chemiluminescence, which perfectly interprets weak signals. It is known that Promega's CellTiter Glo chemiluminescence cell viability assay kit can perform rapid and sensitive measurement of the number of live cells. The intensity of its luminescent signal is determined by the amount of ATP, which depends on the number of live cells. In some cytotoxicity experiments, due to insufficient cells, conventional detection cannot meet the needs. The SpectraMax M3 microplate reader can detect a minimum of 24 cells/well (96 well plate) and 6 cells/well (384 well plate). Therefore, its sensitivity is much higher than colorimetric and fluorescence detection methods.
