SpectraMax ® L is a chemically developed enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) instrument launched by Molecular Devices. Based on the performance requirements of today's laboratories, L has the advantages of sensitivity, reliability, and flexibility. Its unique optical path design and standard single photon counting PMT can achieve superior signal-to-noise ratio in low abundance analyte signals and low-level expression detection. The multi-channel automatic injector can meet the needs of different experiments, such as fast and slow reactions in chemiluminescence, including dual luciferase and Y-sidium fast reactions. It can be widely used in single/dual luciferase reporter gene detection, BRET, ATP detection, jellyfish luminescent protein Ca2+detection, and chemiluminescence based ELISA detection. Professional SoftMax ® Pro software can avoid the tedious steps of exporting data to electronic spreadsheets and directly control the instrument. Enterprise level software can comply with FDA 21 CFR Part 11 environment for data result recording and organization.
main features
● Detection range 380-630 nm
● Support 96-384 well plate detection, can automatically switch the position of the injector to adapt to different types of microplate types
● Ultra high sensitivity:<20attomol ATP/well (96 well plate),<0.2fg firefly luciferase/well (96 well plate)
Ultra wide dynamic range>9 orders of magnitude
Under the demand for high-throughput detection, it can be increased to 4 syringes and 2 PMT
Multiple detection modes to choose from: endpoint method, dynamics, rapid dynamics, dual color reading board
Four types of shock absorber modes are optional, and the amplitude can be adjusted
Temperature control range: room temperature+5 ℃ to 45 ℃
application area
The applications of SpectraMax L include single/dual luciferase reporter genes BRET、 Cell viability testing, cell proliferation testing, mycoplasma testing, cytotoxicity testing ATP、dsDNA、 Jellyfish luminescent protein Ca2+, chemiluminescence based ELISA detection, etc.
Experimental examples
Mycoplasma is currently the smallest known prokaryotic organism and a common source of contamination in mammalian cell culture. Mycoplasma contamination comes at a great cost to cell culture personnel as it alters the morphology, vitality, and metabolic characteristics of contaminated cells. The SpectraMax L unique optical path system and injector device, along with the advantageous single photon counting PMT, combined with a microplate reader and MycoAlert assay kit, can sensitively and rapidly detect mycoplasma content, ensuring timely detection of pollutants and saving valuable time in later experiments.
