EnviroProThe soil profile moisture sensor adopts a rod design, with each10Fix a set of sensors in centimeters; Can accurately measure the values of moisture, temperature, and salinity at different depths of soil profiles; It can accurately measure the movement process of water in the rhizosphere area of crops, mainly used in the research field of water-saving irrigation and water use efficiency of crops, fruit trees, horticultural crops, and vegetables.

Measuring principle

The dielectric constant of air and dry soil is usually constant. The dielectric constant of water is about 80, and that of air is about 1. Therefore, the variation of soil dielectric constant is mainly related to the water content in the soil. EnviroPro is a capacitive probe that can measure the dielectric constant of surrounding media. The root of the dielectric constant of soil is linearly correlated with the output voltage of the sensor. Provide a measured voltage to the sensor and calculate the soil moisture content by measuring the returned voltage value. Any sensor that can accurately measure the dielectric constant can be used to measure the soil volumetric moisture content, which is mainly influenced by temperature and salinity. EnviroPro sensors are least affected by temperature changes, and the outer layer of the sensor is least affected by salinity. EnviroPro sensors have low power consumption and high resolution, enabling long-term measurement.
