Standard Seal (SS)

Universal seals are standard accessories in Bosch Rexroth ball sliders. They have a universal sealing effect on ball guides with and without protective straps. Consider low friction and good sealing effect in the design process. Suitable for applications that require good sealing conditions.

General description

General technical data and calculation methods applicable to all ball guide systems (i.e. all ball sliders and ball guides). Specific technical information related to individual ball sliders and ball guides are listed separately.

Pre tightening grade

In order to meet a wide range of application needs as much as possible, Bosch Rexroth offers various levels of pre tensioned ball sliders.

Provide ball sliders with the following pre tightening levels:

  • Ball slider without preload load (preload grade C0)
  • Medium preload load ball slider (preload level C1)
  • Average preload load ball slider (preload level C2)
  • High preload load ball slider (preload grade C3)

To prevent a shortened service life, the preload should not exceed one-third of the bearing F load.

Usually, the stiffness of ball slider increases with the increase of preload load. If vibration occurs, please select a corresponding high-level preload load (≥ preload level C2).

Guide rail system with parallel guide rails

When selecting the pre tightening level, attention should also be paid to the allowed parallel offset of the guide rail ("Precision Level Selection Standard").

When setting the precision level of the ball guide system to N, we recommend setting the preload level to C0 or C1 to avoid torsional stress caused by tolerances.
