Product Details

The portable COD detector LH-C1 is the latest COD analyzer developed by Hangzhou Luheng Biotechnology Co., Ltd. There is also LH-C2, COD ammonia nitrogen detector; LH-C3, COD ammonia nitrogen total phosphorus detector.

This instrument uses rapid digestion spectrophotometry and is specifically designed for measuring COD concentration in water samples. The instrument is small in size, light in weight, easy to carry, suitable for field and on-site use, and has the following significant characteristics:

◆ No movable parts, high sensitivity, wide dynamic linear range;

Low sample and reagent usage, fast analysis speed;

◆ Battery powered, low power consumption, with automatic shutdown function;

◆ Convenient to carry.

This instrument is produced strictly in accordance with the ISO quality management system requirements and undergoes rigorous testing and calibration before leaving the factory to meet the various indicators specified in the manual.


Instrument Description

Screen display instructions:

b3: The top left corner of the screen displays the COD detection item.

idLE: In the middle of the screen, it indicates that the instrument is in an idle state.

0: In the middle of the screen display, it indicates that the zero adjustment has been completed or the sample concentration is 0.

X.XX: In the middle of the screen, it indicates the concentration of the tested sample.

HHHH: In the middle of the screen, it indicates that the concentration of the tested sample is not within the detection range.

rESt: In the middle of the screen, it indicates that zero adjustment was not performed before reading.

XX. X ℃: The bottom right corner of the screen displays the temperature.

OFF: In the middle of the screen, it indicates that the instrument is shutting down.

Button Description:

Switch: Short press to turn on/off.

Switching: Used to switch between different detection types (zeroing is required after switching)

Zero adjustment: Zero adjustment

Reading: Test concentration value


Instrumental determination (COD)

Pre test instructions:

When holding a test tube, the head should be held, and the surface of the test tube should be wiped clean with a mirror cloth before being placed in the testing chamber.

Measurement steps:

1. Take 2ml of purified water and 2ml of the test solution and add them to different COD reagent tubes. Tighten the lid and slowly shake the solution in the reagent tube. Place the reagent tube into the digestion instrument and digest at 165 ℃ for 20 minutes. (Danger: The reagent tube contains concentrated sulfuric acid. Please wear gloves when operating. If it accidentally comes into contact with the skin, please immediately rinse with plenty of water.)

After digestion is complete, remove the reagent tube and place it on a test tube rack to cool to below 80 ℃. (Warning: The temperature of the digestion instrument and reagent tube is high, be careful not to burn during operation.)

3. Shake the liquid in the reagent tube again.

4. Place the reagent tube on the test tube rack and continue to cool to room temperature. Do not shake the reagent tube at this time.

5. Press the "on/off" button to turn on the device, and the screen will display "idLE" in the middle, indicating that the device has been powered on and is in standby mode.

6. Open the detection chamber cover, ensure that the surface of the zeroing water sample test tube is clean, place it in the detection chamber, cover the chamber cover, press the "zeroing" button, and when "0" is displayed in the middle of the screen, it indicates that the zeroing is complete.

7. Open the compartment lid, take out the zeroing water sample, put in the water sample to be tested, and cover the compartment lid. 8. Press the "Read" button, and the number displayed in the middle of the screen represents the detection value of the water sample. (Unit: mg/L)

After the test is completed, press the "switch" button briefly to turn off the instrument.


matters needing attention

Any liquid or foreign object entering the detection chamber may damage the instrument.

If the concentration of the water sample exceeds the instrument range, please dilute the water sample and retest. The measured value multiplied by the dilution factor is the concentration value of the water sample.

3. The surface of the test tube should not have water stains, scratches, dust, or fingerprints.

Battery requirement: Please use a 1.5V 5 alkaline battery.


Interference factors:

1. Samples with chloride ion content higher than 1000mg/L will result in higher measurement results. Quantitative dilution should be performed first to reduce the chloride ion content to below 1000mg/L before measurement.

2. Containing aromatic organic compounds, pyridine, volatile linear aliphatic compounds, benzene and other organic compounds, they may not be completely oxidized, resulting in low measurement results.

3. Mn (III), Mn (VI), and Mn (VII) form a red substance, which leads to higher measurement results.
