The LI-7500RS open circuit CO2/H2O intelligent analyzer is a new and reliable generation of open circuit CO2/H2O intelligent analysis system designed for rapid measurement of CO2 and H2O in atmospheric environments. Its low power consumption and almost maintenance free characteristics make it more suitable for long-term stable measurement at field observation stations.

open pathThe CO2/H2O gas analyzers LI-7500 and LI-7500A have been widely used in the field of global vorticity covariance carbon flux monitoring. More than 90% of the flux observation stations of the Global Carbon Flux Observation Network (FLUXNET) use LI-7500 or LI-7500A.

Working principle

The LI-7500RS uses non dispersive infrared spectroscopy to measure the density of CO2 and H2O in the air. Infrared rays pass through a temperature controlled filter and then through an open sampling space to reach the infrared detector. Specific wavelengths of infrared radiation are absorbed by CO2 and H2O in the sampling space, and the gas concentrations of CO2 and H2O are obtained by calculating the degree of infrared attenuation in that wavelength band.
