HYDAC's oil return pipe suction filter is used in systems that operate in both open circuit (working hydraulic) and closed circuit (power unit) modes.
This can ensure that the filtered benefit can be obtained by using a feed pump connected to the "B" port through pipeline flow (full flow suction assisted filtration).
The risk of cavitation has significantly decreased. The excess flow is discharged into the water tank "T" through the port.
The bypass valve "V2" (standard=2.5 bar) can alleviate excessive back pressure in the component (starting to cool when viscosity is high).
The arrangement of this valve ensures that only the fine suction port has filtered oil during operation (exception: RKM 350).
The part of the flow that needs to be cooled can be separated through ports separated by thermal valves.
During cold start, the valve core of the thermal valve cuts off the flow to the cooler, so the fluid flows directly through the filter element.
The position of the valve core is adjusted by the oil temperature.

According to Figure 2, an alternative connection option is to connect the inlet pipeline of the cooler to the thermal valve using a hose.
A portion of the total number of filtered return oil pipes will be fed back to the feed pump with overpressure, which can effectively prevent cavitation, especially during cold start.
The return line oil suction filter combines the functions and advantages of a hydraulic filter used for the return line and a hydraulic filter used for suction operations in a single oil filter.
