Overview

Measure the δ 13C of CH4

Product Details

The Picarro G2132-i isotope analyzer is capable of accurately measuring the ratio of stable isotope 13C-12C in methane (CH4). Methane is both a valuable energy source and a greenhouse gas. Scientists use the Picarro G2132-i analyzer to accurately measure the ratio of 13C-12C, which can determine whether methane is emitted from dairy farms, landfills, or hydraulic fracturing wells, as well as identify methane sources and sinks in wetlands.

--Perform isotope measurements with excellent accuracy and stability to identify key methane sources
--Direct measurement of CH4- no need to prepare any samples or perform drying treatment
--Reduce calibration, minimize maintenance, and eliminate the need for consumables
--Equipped with ChemDetect ™, Detectable pollutants in the sample

Rise time/fall time (10-90%/90-10%) The typical value is about 30 seconds
Application precautions When the concentrations of H2O and CO2 are much higher than normal environmental levels, or when other organic compounds such as ammonia, ethane, ethylene, or sulfur-containing compounds are present, measurements may be disrupted. Users should use prepared laboratory standard samples for validation. For more details about the experimental conditions, please contact us. When the system is used in recycling applications, the pressure drop in the instrument air path can draw in external air.
