Precautions for use:
Special care should be taken during use to avoid grinding substances with excessive hardness and to avoid contact with hydrofluoric acid. ② When performing grinding operations, the mortar should be placed on an object that is not easy to slide, and the pestle should be kept vertical. Large solid blocks can only be crushed and cannot be crushed with a pestle, otherwise it will damage the mortar, pestle or splash the solid. Explosive substances can only be lightly crushed and cannot be ground. When grinding substances that are corrosive to the skin, a thick paper or plastic sheet should be placed on top of the mortar, and then a hole should be opened in the center to insert a pestle before grinding. The amount of solid in the mortar should not exceed one-third of its volume. ③ The mortar cannot be heated and should not be dried in an electric oven. ④ When washing the mortar, it should be rinsed with water first. Acid resistant mortar can be washed with dilute hydrochloric acid. When difficult to wash substances adhere to the mortar, a small amount of salt can be added, ground, and then washed.
