PQ200 environmental grade produced by BGIPM2.5 samplerIt is a particulate matter sampling system designed in accordance with the Federal Reference Method (FRM) in the United States, which is the 'portable sampling' in FRM. The design of the PQ200 model strictly follows the requirements of 24-hour environmental 'fine particulate matter' sampling in accordance with the U.S. National Environmental Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) published on July 18, 1997. BGI has also developed the 'Very Accurate Cyclone Particle Size Sampling Head' (VSCC) to replace the WINS impact sampler, which can achieve a 30 day cleaning cycle. PM2.5 (particles with aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 microns) was collected on a 47 mm PTFE sampling membrane at a flow rate of 16.67 LPM through two inertia separators designed according to US EPA standards. The environmental temperature and atmospheric pressure were recorded in real-time while sampling. Microprocessors and advanced volumetric flow control systems can ensure accurate sampling data is continuously collected into memory. 5-minute actual temperature and pressure conditions are recorded simultaneously with the volume flow rate of the sample, the temperature and pressure of the sampling membrane. The identification flags for detecting values and displaying anomalies will be overwritten when the operator downloads sampling data using a laptop. The sampling and auditing procedures of the US EPA have made PQ200A version A their dedicated sampler. This model of sampler has also become the preferred choice for all officials or individuals who wish to strictly follow EPA regulations for sampling.

Solar panels
On the PQ200 model, the solar panels equipped with BGI can increase its operating time from 24:00 to several days, depending on the total amount of available sunlight. The panels are equipped with a reconnected ballast battery that can provide energy for the instrument to operate for at least 10-14 days under minimum sunlight. Installing solar panels can far meet the expected 3-6 day interval sampling needs.
