Difficult to handle liquids*
The DFM-IV flowmeter performs very well in practical applications, surpassing general contact flowmeters. Because its electrodes are installed outside the pipeline and are not affected by abrasives or chemical agents; It will not hinder the flow of liquid and the pressure will not decrease.
Easy to install
Each DFM-IV flowmeter includes a bundled Doppler electrode, an adjustable stainless steel mounting clip, and an electrode coupling compound. Standard electrodes are installed outside pipes with a diameter of 25mm or larger. Installation only takes a few minutes. No need to cut pipes and close processes.
Installation pipelines of various materials
Aike's DFM-IV flowmeter can measure the flow rate of pipes made of different materials: PVC, carbon steel, cast iron, stainless steel, fiberglass, and any pipe with lines that can guide ultrasonic waves. When there are air pockets on the pipe wall (made of concrete and wood) or loose inserted lining (with air gaps between the lining and the pipe wall), Doppler signals cannot be transmitted. Sensors are easy to install and can test liquid flow rates in any application and pipeline material within minutes.
Simple, single head sensor design
Ultrasonic signals are transmitted and received by a single sensor, making installation very easy. Installing clips (included) can ensure the correct alignment of sensors on horizontal or vertical pipelines. Double sensors can be optionally selected for special occasions.
Self check extension sensor cable length
Each sensor contains a 6-meter shielded coaxial cable, which can be extended up to 152 meters in length without compromising signal strength or performance. DFM-IV type can automatically adjust cable length.
Intrinsic safety sensors used in hazardous areas
The DFM-IV sensor has been certified by CSA and can be installed in hazardous areas with optional intrinsic safety isolation barriers.
The safety isolation barrier has been installed inside the electronic enclosure, therefore, all sensors and junction boxes are inherently safe. The adapter is usually installed in a non rated universal location, and if it is placed inside an optional riot enclosure, the sensor can be installed in a hazardous area.
Display, accumulate, control, and transmit
Each DFM-IV Doppler flowmeter includes a 4-digit large LCD flow rate display screen and a 16 bit digital display screen displaying calibration menu and cumulative flow rate, 3 programmable control relays, and an isolated 4-20mA output (1000 ohms). Additionally, a digital recorder with a storage capacity of up to 50000 records can be optionally selected.
