2、 Common knowledge of using softened water equipment


1. Selection of Softening Water Equipment


The selection of fully automatic water softening equipment is based on the water quality and usage in your home. If the water quality hardness is high and the water consumption is large, it is necessary to choose a large-sized softened water treatment equipment. On the contrary, if the water quality at home is good and the water consumption is not very large, a small fully automatic softening water equipment can be used, which can be placed in the cabinet without occupying the usable area.


2. Substances removed by softened water equipment


Softening water equipment mainly removes calcium and magnesium ions from water, but it does not have much effect on bleaching powder in water.


3. Salt absorption cycle of softened water equipment


The determination of the smoking cycle of the equipment needs to be based on two factors, namely the size of the salt box and the model of the controller. The larger the model of the controller, the higher the flow rate, resulting in faster salt absorption and shorter cycles; The smaller the model of the controller, the smaller the injection flow rate, the slower the salt absorption speed, and the longer the cycle.


4. Operating costs of softened water equipment


This is determined by the user's requirements for water quality, as the equipment used varies depending on the water quality requirements. It only depends on what kind of water quality you require, and the operating costs of reverse osmosis equipment are higher than those of softened water equipment.


5. Calculation of salt consumption of softened water equipment


The size of salt consumption depends on the hardness of the raw water. If the hardness of the raw water is high, the equipment will have a short production cycle and frequent tank cleaning, resulting in high salt consumption. Generally, if the hardness of the water is around 8, the salt consumption is about 1 yuan per ton of soft water produced.


The simple calculation method for resin salt consumption in raw materials is as follows:


(1) NaCl concentration in the raw solution is 5-12%;


The concentration of salt solution is determined by the proportion of saturated salt solution sucked in by the water flow rate injected into the jet injector. Generally, the concentration of salt solution is between 5-12%, and the higher the inlet pressure, the higher the concentration after mixing. Under normal circumstances, the set parameters are as follows: reverse suction for 10 minutes, fresh production for 30-50 minutes, and water injection for 10-20 minutes (for salt tanks with float control). You can make small adjustments based on the above parameters.


(2) The amount of raw liquid used is 2-3 times the volume of resin filling;


Each liter of resin requires salt:


Salt consumption: 2 times x concentration 5%=100g


Salt consumption: 3 times x concentration 8%=240g


Median value: 2 times x concentration 8%=160g


The salt consumption of 1L resin in countercurrent is about 80-160g, while the salt consumption of 1L resin in countercurrent is about 160-240g. The current automatic control valves have fewer faults and higher salt consumption when running downstream. Add salt to the salt tank, paying attention to using large grains of salt, because there are gaps between the large salt particles for salt dissolution. Fine salt will dissolve slowly if it does not dissolve, and always ensure that the salt particles are above the salt water level, that is, the salt is visible but not the water, to ensure that it is a saturated salt solution. Oppose the statement that 'as long as there is undissolved salt in the salt bucket'.
