Function of drum assembly:

A drum is used to hold steel wire ropes, such as the I-shaped wheel used to hold steel wire ropes. The steel wire ropes are collected on the drum or placed down from the drum. The drive of steel wire rope pulls the steel wire rope and provides tension for the steel wire rope.

In addition, when the hook is at the low point of the working position, the winding of the steel wire rope on the drum shall not be less than 3 turns, except for the number of fixed rope tail turns. The ultimate safety circle of the crane's steel wire rope on the drum shall be ensured to be more than 2 turns.

How is the rope output method specified on the wire rope drum? There is a device for fixing the steel wire rope on the drum. As long as the steel wire rope is fixed according to the device, rotate the drum clockwise and let the steel wire rope enter the groove inside the drum one by one. This is how the winch is installed. If the overhead crane still needs to fix the wire rope on the other side, a travel switch needs to be installed to prevent the operation from being hooked. The single tube elevator has an upper rope output, the double tube elevator's moving drum has a lower rope output, and the fixed drum has an upper rope output.

When one of the following situations occurs with the drum, it should be scrapped:
crackle;
The wear of the cylinder wall reaches 20% of the original wall thickness;
When the wear of the rope groove is greater than 1/4 of the diameter of the steel wire rope and cannot be repaired.
Regularly check the operation status of the drum group:
Check the drum and shaft for cracks. If cracks are found, they should be promptly scrapped and replaced;
When the drum wall wears down to 20% of the original wall thickness, the drum is scrapped and the lifting drum assembly is quoted, and it should be replaced immediately;
There should be no cracks on the edge of the drum, and the connection with the drum should be tight and not loose;
The fixing of the end of the steel wire rope should be reliable, and the fixing device should have anti loosening or self tightening performance.
The order of dismantling the drum is:
Remove the steel wire rope pressing plate 8 and remove the steel wire rope 7;
Remove the bolt of the left end cover 1 to separate it from the internal gear connecting plate 4, remove the anchor bolt of the bearing seat 11 at the right end to separate the drum assembly from the trolley, and pull out the drum assembly to the right;
Remove the bolts of bearing cover 14 and through cover 16 from bearing seat 11, so that bearing seat 11 can be removed;
Remove bolts 13 from both ends of drum shaft 6, the drum assembly, and the lower shaft end cover 12;
Use a puller to pull down bearings 3 and 15, remove cover 16 and sleeve 10;
Remove the flange bolts 2 and 9 at both ends of the drum, and pull out the half internal gear connecting plate 4 and drum hub 17 from the drum shaft 6 to remove the drum.
