When using traditional measuring instruments to measure the roundness and surface roughness of prism components such as cylinder heads and cylinder blocks, difficulties are often encountered. Checking the alignment and concentricity of narrow and long holes (such as cam holes and crank holes), and detecting the angle of the valve conduit relative to the valve hole can all be accomplished by selecting appropriate detection instruments.

The concentricity of the valve seat, alignment of the cam and crank holes, cylindricity and straightness of the cylinder liner, and other geometric tolerances of the valve conduit can all be evaluated using Taylor Hobson series roundness measuring instruments.
