step
1. Select the specimen, check the specimen name and number, and fill in the record form.
2. Load the test piece into the cylindrical sieve tube of the disintegration tester, dry it to a constant amount at a temperature of 105-110 ℃, and then cool it to room temperature in the dryer for weighing.
3. Place the cylindrical sieve cylinder containing the test piece in a water tank, inject pure water into the tank, and make the water level about 20mm below the rotating shaft. After rotating the cylindrical sieve cylinder at a speed of 20 r/min for 10 minutes, dry the cylindrical sieve cylinder and residual test piece to a constant amount at a temperature of 105-110 ℃, then cool them to room temperature in a dryer and weigh them.
4. Repeat the procedure in item 3 of this article to obtain the mass of the cylindrical sieve cylinder and residual specimen after the second cycle.
5. If necessary, follow the procedure of 3 for 5 cycles.
During the experiment, the water temperature should be maintained within the range of 20 ± 2 ℃.
After the experiment is completed, the residual specimen, color of water, and sediment in the water should be described. Conduct particle analysis, limit moisture content determination, and clay mineral analysis on sediment in water as needed.
8. Weigh accurately to 0.01g.

Calculation of experimental results
Calculate the rock disintegration resistance index using the following formula:
Id2=mr/md% in the formula: Id2- rock (secondary cycle) disintegration resistance index (%);
Md - Dry mass of the original sample (g);
MR - Dry mass of residual sample (g)
