Product Details

Cobalt (II) acetate, also known as cobalt acetate, has a molecular formula of C4H6CoO4 and a molecular weight of 177.02.

It is a purple red easily deliquescent crystal with a slight acetic acid odor, and turns into an anhydrous substance at 140 ℃. It is soluble in water, ethanol, dilute acid, and pentyl acetate. Its relative density is 1.705, refractive index is 1.542, and it has carcinogenic potential

Purpose:

1. Catalysts for xylene oxidation, used in the production of desiccants for coatings, mordants for printing and dyeing, curing accelerators for fiberglass, and hidden ink.

2. The catalyst used for ester exchange reaction is approximately 0.01% to 0.05% in the production of polyester resin. This product is mainly used as an organic synthesis oxidation catalyst (such as a catalyst for terephthalic acid, the basic raw material for producing polyester resin from xylene oxidation).

3. In the dyeing and sealing treatment of oxide films, appropriate cobalt salts can also be added to the sealing solution of aluminum and alloy anodizing to improve its sealing performance. It can also be used as an additive for galvanizing and as a cobalt salt additive for electroplating cobalt alloys, chemical cobalt plating, and alloys.
