Product Details

Product Overview:
Suitable for evaluating the ability of vertically installed bundled wires, cables or optical cables to suppress the vertical spread of flames under specified conditions.
HRGD-02 Bundle Combustion Testing MachineCompliant with standards:
Compliant with GB18380.31-2008 "Combustion Test of Cables under Flame Conditions Part 3: Test Device for Vertical Spread of Flames of Bundled Wires and Cables Installed Vertically", equivalent to IEC60332-3-10:2000; Simultaneously meet the requirements specified in Table 4 of GB/T19666-2005 "General Rules for Flame retardant and Fire resistant Wires and Cables" GB/T18380.32-2008/IEC60332-3-21-2000 "Combustion tests for cables and optical cables under flame conditions - Part 32: Vertical flame propagation test for vertically installed bundled wires and cables - AF/R class", GB/T818380.33-2008/IEC60332-3-22:2000 "Combustion tests for cables and optical cables under flame conditions - Part 33: Vertical flame propagation test for vertically installed bundled wires and cables - Class A", GB/T818380.35-2008/IEC60332-3-24:2000 "Combustion tests for cables and optical cables under flame conditions - Part 35: Vertical flame propagation test for vertically installed bundled wires and cables - Class C", GB/T818380.36-2008/IEC60332-3-25:25 2000 "Burning test of cables and optical cables under flame conditions - Part 36: Vertical spread test of flame for vertically installed bundled wires and cables - Class D.
Equipment Composition
The equipment consists of: test chamber, electrical control system, air source, ignition source flow control system (propane gas and compressed air), steel ladder, fire extinguishing device, emission purification device, etc.
Test box: The experimental device should be a self-supporting box with a width of (1000 ± 100) mm, a depth of (2000 ± 100) mm, and a height of (4000 ± 100) mm, and the bottom of the box should be above the ground. The periphery of the test chamber should be sealed, and air should flow into the chamber through a (800 ± 20) mm × (400 ± 10) mm air inlet opened at a distance of (150 ± 10) mm from the front wall at the bottom of the chamber. A (300 ± 30) mm × (1000 ± 100) mm air outlet should be opened behind the top of the box. The rear wall and both sides of the test chamber should be insulated with a heat transfer coefficient of approximately 0.7W.m-2.K-1, using a 1.5mm thick USU304 stainless steel plate, with a 65mm thick insulation mineral fiber coating in the middle and a 1.5mm thick USU304 stainless steel plate on the outside. The distance between the steel ladder and the back wall of the test box is (150 ± 10) mm, and the lower crossbar of the steel ladder is (400 ± 5) mm from the ground. The lower part of the cable sample is about 100mm from the ground
Air source: The air inlet is equipped with a digital air velocity anemometer, which can intuitively read and control the gas flow rate through the box to be (5000 ± 500) L/min. It can stabilize the air flow rate during the test.
After the experiment is completed: If the sample is still burning after stopping the fire supply for one hour, an alarm will be set up and a rain device will be used to forcibly stop the combustion.
Steel ladder types: standard steel ladder with a width of (500 ± 5) mm, wide steel ladder with a width of (800 ± 10) mm, made of USU304 stainless round steel.
HRGD-02 Bundle Combustion Testing MachineEmission purification device:
1. The upper part of the test chamber is equipped with a digital anemometer to ensure that the wind flow rate is less than 8M/S and will not affect the air flow rate of the test chamber.
2. Smoke collection and washing device: made of SUS304 stainless steel, with a diameter of 800mm and a height of 3500mm.
3. The smoke collection tower is divided into three parts: sprinkler system, smoke and dust filtration system, and smoke exhaust system. Spray device: provides water spray for special filter materials to effectively filter smoke and dust.
4. Smoke and dust filtration device: It uses filtering materials from drinking water to effectively filter smoke and dust, making the emitted smoke white smoke. It meets environmental requirements, is easy to clean and replace, and comes in two sets.
5. Smoke exhaust device: equipped with high-power exhaust fans to perform forced exhaust, and equipped with electric gates to control the flow rate of the air.
Type of ignition source: including one or two belt type propane gas burners and their matching flow meters and Venturi mixers (see Figure 5a). The ignition surface is drilled with 242 flat metal plates with a diameter of 1.32mm and a center distance of 3.2mm. These holes are arranged in three rows in a staggered manner, with 81, 80, and 81 in each row, distributed within a nominal size range of 257 × 4.5mm. In addition, a row of small holes should be opened on both sides of the flame spraying plate, which can maintain stable combustion of the flame (as shown in Figure 5b). Each nozzle should be equipped with an accurate device to control the flow rate of propane and air. Rotary flowmeter or mass flowmeter can be used
Location of ignition source: The blowtorch should be placed horizontally, (75 ± 5) mm away from the front surface of the cable sample, (600 ± 5) mm away from the bottom of the test box, and symmetrical with the axis of the steel ladder. The ignition point of the blowtorch should be located at the center between the two horizontal bars of the steel ladder, and at least 500mm away from the lower end of the specimen. The centerline of the blowtorch system should be roughly aligned with the centerline of the steel ladder.
