Instrument Introduction: BODTrak II Biochemical Oxygen Consumption Analyzer (BOD analyzer) adopts the principle of pressure difference method for BOD measurement, simulating the biodegradation process of organic matter in nature. The oxygen in the air above the test bottle continuously supplements the dissolved oxygen consumed in the water. The CO2 generated during the degradation of organic matter is absorbed by potassium hydroxide in the sealed lid. The pressure sensor monitors the changes in oxygen pressure in the sampling test bottle at any time. Biochemical oxygen consumption refers to the amount of oxygen consumed when organic matter in water is biodegraded by microorganisms. It is a comprehensive indicator reflecting the content of organic pollutants in water, mainly used to monitor the pollution status of organic matter in surface water bodies, determine the organic pollution load of sewage and wastewater, and evaluate the biodegradability of sewage and wastewater.
