The monitoring device can detect the concentration of ammonia nitrogen in wastewater treatment process online. It utilizes new gas and liquid transmission technologies and high-performance colorimetric measurement methods, providing reliable and accurate ammonia nitrogen detection results with low maintenance. Due to its compact structure and affordable price, it can replace existing high maintenance analyzers based on electrochemical principles. At the same time, this analyzer can also meet the high reliability and low-cost requirements of various users for instruments.
Below is an introduction to the operation method of the monitoring device:
1. Sample
Laboratory samples should be collected in polyethylene or glass bottles and analyzed as soon as possible. Otherwise, these samples should be stored at 2-5 ℃ before analysis. Acidizing the samples with sulfuric acid to pH<2 can help preserve the samples. However, the acidified samples may absorb ammonia from the atmosphere and may be contaminated, so precautions should be taken to prevent contamination.
2. Sample
The volume is 20ml and can be used for the determination of ammonia nitrogen concentration below 1mg/l. For samples with higher concentrations of ammonia nitrogen, a small amount of appropriate sample can be taken for determination. If the experimental sample contains suspended solids, it should be clarified or filtered by gravity through a cleaned glass bottle fiber paper before sampling. The water sample can also be distilled.
3. Formation of absorbing compounds
Add 2.00ml ± 0.05ml of color reagent to the sample processing bottle after constant temperature and mix well. Then add 2.00ml ± 0.05ml of sodium dichloroisocyanurate solution and mix well. Shake the sample processing bottle thoroughly and place it on a digestion apparatus at a constant temperature of 50 ℃ for constant temperature heating.
4. After maintaining a constant temperature for at least twenty minutes, remove the sample processing bottle from the digester and measure the absorbance and concentration using a colorimeter.
5. Calibration and curve drawing
Add standard solutions with ammonia nitrogen concentrations of 0.5mg/l (0, 2.00ml, 5.00ml, 10.00ml, 20.00ml) to a set of 5 50ml sample processing bottles. If necessary, dilute with water to 20.0ml ± 0.5ml. Process according to 7-2 and 7-3, subtract the absorbance value of the blank test from the absorbance values measured in each calibration solution, and draw a curve of absorbance value versus ammonia nitrogen mass. This line should be a straight line and pass through the origin.
