1. Card onto the object being measured, be careful not to apply too much force. Just card onto it, and be careful not to get it off center, especially when measuring the diameter. Do not get it off center
2. The fixed screw can be rotated, and if there is one, it is usually placed on the cursor so that it can be removed and read. If not, it can be read directly.
3. Look at the position of the 0 mark on the cursor on the main ruler, read the value of the main ruler at this position. If measured in millimeters, the main ruler will read the integer part
4. Read the cursor and see which scale on the cursor aligns perfectly with the scale on the main ruler. Read this scale
5. The entire cursor represents 1mm, divided into * parts, with numbers on top representing * decimal places. Then, look at the small cells in the cursor to determine the second decimal place. If each large cell is divided into 5 small cells, then each small cell is 0.02mm.
