On September 23rd, the world's first zero carbon off grid solar energy storage and swapping station was officially put into operation in Xingxingxia, Xinjiang. The project is located in a weak Gobi region of the power grid and does not rely on large power grids for power supply. It relies on photovoltaic energy storage to build an independent zero carbon energy loop and fully supports the electricity consumption of the battery swapping station. The project was jointly implemented by NIO, Longi Green Energy, and Xinjiang Communications Investment, which verified the feasibility of a microgrid solution for optical storage in remote areas.
