　　Exhibition Background

The Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo is one of the important measures to implement the city's policy of accelerating the formation of a green production and lifestyle. It is not only an important lever to promote the dual carbon work, but also conducive to advancing the three new tracks and guiding the formation of a first mover advantage in the dual carbon industry and technological innovation.

The work plan for the Expo has been reviewed and approved by the executive meeting of the Shanghai Municipal Government on January 24, 2022, and has been included in the key work arrangements of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Government; This is the first expo in China with the theme of "carbon neutrality" and has been included in the "Key Work Arrangements for Carbon Peak, Carbon Neutrality, Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in Shanghai", "Implementation Plan for Carbon Peak in Shanghai", "Action Plan for Accelerating the Establishment of Product Carbon Footprint Management System and Building a Green and Low Carbon Supply Chain in Shanghai", and "Action Plan for Accelerating the Green and Low Carbon Transformation in Shanghai (2024-2027)". To strengthen organizational leadership and form a collaborative promotion mechanism, the municipal government has established the "Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo" organizing committee, with municipal leaders serving as the committee directors.
