The 31st Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) will be grandly held from June 9th to 12th, 2026, at the China Import and Export Commodity Trading Exhibition Center A and B areas in Guangzhou. GILE takes "dare" as its core and establishes the theme of "dare to create WE in the new era of lighting life, dare to surpass", working together with global lighting professionals to promote the triple upgrading of technology, value, and industry.
As a benchmark for the lighting and LED industry, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) has always actively explored new opportunities for industry development, continuously deepened the "light+ecology" exchange platform, and promoted collaborative innovation and deep integration between lighting and other industries. Since 2021, GILE has been continuously focusing on and showcasing cross-border applications of bioluminescence. By 2025, through the innovative model of "scene display+theme forum+intelligent agriculture award selection", GILE will strengthen the two-way linkage between academia and industry, and promote the development of new agricultural productivity.
In 2026, GILE will further upgrade its display concept, with "scene replacing products, ecological replacing industries" as the core, to create a "bio optics and smart agriculture technology scene based experimental base". The base will embed plant lights into multiple real ecological scenes such as home gardening, facility gardening, intelligent seedling cultivation, and scientific research achievement transformation, allowing the audience to intuitively experience the application value of plant lights in different application environments, highlighting the important role of bio lighting in promoting efficient, high-quality, and sustainable development of smart agriculture, and highlighting its comprehensive ecological value in collaboration with multiple technologies. In addition, GILE has successfully held forums in the fields of bio optics and smart agriculture for six consecutive years, bringing together nearly a hundred interdisciplinary experts, including academicians, to share cutting-edge technological achievements and promote interdisciplinary and industrial ecological innovation. At the same time, the selection of the "Guangya Digital Smart Agriculture Award" (Smart Agriculture Award), a professional award in the field of bio optics and smart agriculture hosted by Guangzhou Guangya Frankfurt Exhibition Co., Ltd., has been fully launched. From now until March 28, 2026, higher education institutions, research institutions, and enterprises engaged in modern agricultural technology across the country can participate in the application. This year, the Smart Agriculture Award has set up three awards: Excellence Award, Innovation Award, and Application Award, to recognize outstanding achievements in bio optics technology, efficient and accurate facility planting technology, facility breeding technology, and smart agriculture with controllable environment, especially innovative technologies and applications with industrialization prospects. It actively promotes the innovative development of bio optics and smart agriculture technology in China, and promotes the comprehensive promotion of rural areas. Revitalization and accelerating the construction of a strong agricultural country "will continue to provide assistance.
