In 2026, China's "dual carbon" strategy has shifted from top-level design to a critical window period of deepening implementation and industrial breakthroughs. With the restart and continuous improvement of the national CCER market, the development of carbon sequestration value in the agricultural sector is undergoing a historic transformation: the policy dividend period has begun, and carbon assets have changed from "paper methods" to "tradable assets". The agricultural waste centralized treatment center, as the core hub of this transformation, is redefining its role - it is not only a treatment facility for environmental pain points such as straw burning and livestock manure, but also a "green rich mine" and "new profit center" with huge carbon sequestration potential. According to authoritative calculations, by promoting advanced pathways such as Eco CCUS (Ecological Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) to rationalize the storage and utilization of agricultural straw, an additional carbon sequestration of up to 380 million tons of CO ₂ can be achieved annually in China, with significantly lower costs than industrial CCUS. This is a proven economic and large-scale new pathway for increasing foreign exchange. This marks that the industry has reached the starting point of the dual value explosion of "environmental governance" and "climate economy".
How to turn carbon assets into "real gold and silver"? How to connect the golden industry chain of "waste → green gas → green hydrogen/alcohol"? How to seize the billion dollar new track of cross-border integration of agriculture and energy?
At this turning point in the industry, the 14th IBS 2026 China International Biomass Energy and Organic Solid Waste Resource Utilization Summit will once again set sail in Xiong'an on April 23-24, 2026.
