Under the opportunity of the in-depth implementation of the "the Belt and Road" initiative and the vigorous economic and social development of Xinjiang, Xinjiang's grain, oil and food industry ushered in a major development window period. Relying on its unique geographical advantages and abundant agricultural resources, Xinjiang is rising as an important growth pole for China's grain and oil food industry. The Ministry of Finance of China has continuously strengthened its support for Xinjiang's grain production and industrial development through policies such as supporting the Grain Risk Fund and rewarding major grain producing counties. In recent years, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs has taken measures to enhance seed production capacity, build national modern agricultural industrial parks and strong agricultural towns, and organize investment connections with leading enterprises. It has also stated that it will continue to increase policy support and comprehensively promote the upgrading of Xinjiang's grain and oil industry.

The government of Xinjiang Autonomous Region resolutely implements the national food security strategy and continues to increase support for the grain and oil industry. In 2023, Xinjiang released the "Action Plan for the Construction of Grain and Oil Industry Clusters in the Autonomous Region (2023-2025)", proposing to accelerate the construction of grain and oil industry clusters. It is expected that by the end of 2025, the added value of grain and oil industry clusters will reach 40 billion yuan. A series of preferential policies have been successively introduced, including precise agricultural subsidies, tax reductions and credit support, etc., to help enterprises expand their scale, upgrade their technology, and promote the modernization and intelligent development of industries. At the same time, we will vigorously invest in agricultural infrastructure construction, improve irrigation conditions, optimize warehousing and logistics networks, and lay a solid foundation for the full chain development of the grain and oil industry.

Xinjiang is making efforts from multiple dimensions such as raw material production, enterprise cultivation, industrial chain extension, and brand building to promote technological transformation, scientific and technological innovation, and product upgrading, continuously improving the safe and stable supply level of important agricultural products such as high-quality grain. The golden signboard of 'Xinjiang Good Grain and Oil' continues to shine, and the 'Xinjiang Quality' that safeguards the safety of the tongue is moving towards a broader market stage.

In order to further promote the deep integration and exchange of Xinjiang's grain, oil and food industry with the whole country and even Central Asia, the "2026 Xinjiang Grain, Oil and Food Industry Expo" will be held at the Xinjiang International Convention and Exhibition Center from May 8th to 9th, 2026, to promote exchanges and cooperation between government and enterprises, establish long-term partnerships, and promote the construction of a strategic pivot in the northwest market and radiate the development of the Central Asian region.
