The automatic inspection and control equipment for fire pumps is an important component of the fire protection system. One of the fundamental purposes of various devices such as the fire linkage alarm system in determining a fire situation and issuing an alarm is ultimately to activate the fire extinguishing equipment.

There is a common problem with various types of fire water supply equipment today: when a building catches fire, a considerable number of fire pumps cannot be started after receiving the start signal, which delays the firefighting opportunity and causes * losses to property and people's safety. The main reason for the above phenomenon is that the fire pump does not start when there is no fire, and over time, the lotus wheel of the pump shaft inside the pump room in a humid environment rusts and dies. In response to the above situation, it is necessary to conduct periodic automatic inspections of the water pump unit to maintain the mechanical and electrical performance of the water pump in good condition at all times. The automatic inspection method for fire protection can fundamentally solve the problem of water pump rusting, making it a real reality for fire equipment to "raise troops for a thousand days and use them for a while".

In order to compensate for the difficulties of idle fire pumps and inability to start due to corrosion and other reasons, some regulations have also made relevant requirements, such as "Fixed Fire Water Supply Equipment Part 2: Fire Automatic Constant Pressure Water Supply Equipment" GB27898.2-2011 and "Technical Specification for Fire Water Supply and Hydrant Systems" GB50974-2014, which have relevant descriptions.

The automatic inspection and control equipment for fire pumps can perform periodic, timed, and speed based patrol inspections on the fire pumps. Through automatic inspections, the fire pumps can be kept in a reliable operating state.

Common functions of automatic inspection cabinet for fire pump:

1. Inspection function: Automatically perform low-speed inspections on each fire pump according to the set cycle. Generally, the speed of a single pump during inspection is 300 revolutions per minute, and the inspection running time is 10 minutes; The time and cycle can be set as needed, and the inspection can be manually and automatically switched through a switch.

2. Automatic exit inspection and entry into fire protection function: The inspection cabinet automatically exits inspection and enters fire protection operation mode when encountering fire protection signals during the inspection process.

3. Alarm and protection functions: The inspection cabinet also has alarm and protection functions for faults such as short circuit, overcurrent, and motor power failure. During the inspection process, if a fault is found, an audible and visual alarm signal will be issued. The alarm system has a fault memory function, which records the content and time of the fault occurrence.

4. Remote monitoring and control function: The inspection cabinet can be configured with remote monitoring and control modules according to user needs, and communicate with the fire control center through the bus to achieve the purpose of monitoring the system operation in the fire control center.

5. Pressure water testing function: The inspection cabinet can also perform pressure water testing on the pipeline system according to the configuration of the fire protection pipeline. Equipment for pressure water testing inspection is used, and the pipeline should have measures to prevent overpressure. Equipment for pressure relief circuit inspection should be installed, and the circuit settings should be safe and reliable.

6. Mobile SMS alarm function: According to the user's needs, the inspection cabinet can also be equipped with a mobile SMS alarm module. When a fault occurs, the fault information is sent to the user's mobile phone through mobile SMS, reminding the user to handle it in a timely manner.

This device consists of two parts: main circuit inspection and non pressure inspection of fire-fighting equipment, which can complete low-speed automatic inspection of the main control circuit and water pump. When there is no fire command in the system and the system switches of each fire control equipment are set to automatic mode, the intelligent inspection controller outputs inspection instructions to inspect the main circuit one by one, and the inspection return signal is taken from the main and auxiliary contacts of each electrical component. The allowable value for feedback signal time is not more than 2 seconds. After the main circuit inspection is completed, the inspection controller will issue the next inspection command to the pressure free inspection device. Upon receiving the inspection command, the device will sequentially perform low-speed pressure free inspections on the fire pump. During inspection, the motor speed is low and the system does not generate water pressure. During the entire inspection process, if the equipment receives a fire command, the intelligent inspection controller will immediately issue a command to stop the inspection and instantly start the fire pump to complete the fire task. If there are any abnormal actions during the inspection process, the controller will record the branch number and fault category of the fault, and issue an audible and visual alarm. Simultaneously store and record fault information for future reference. Simultaneously complete the fault upload (which can be transmitted to the fire control center or building control duty room) and notify the relevant duty personnel to carry out maintenance to ensure the safety of the fire-fighting equipment.

When in non fire state, the fire automatic inspection control equipment composed of intelligent fire inspection controller can automatically inspect and operate the fire pump. The automatic inspection cycle can be selected from several hours to hundreds of hours, and the cycle clock automatically starts the inspection program with manual inspection function. During inspection, the intelligent fire inspection controller will check and confirm that the main circuit of the fire control cabinet is normal, and then drive each fire pump at low speed to run at low speed. At this time, the driving power is very small, about one percent of the rated power of the pump motor, so energy saving is significant. Due to the low rotational speed, there will be no pressure increase on the water supply network. If a fire operation command is received during the inspection, this control device will immediately interrupt the inspection operation, and the control equipment will drive the fire pump with power frequency to operate the fire command. Only when the next inspection cycle is completed and there are no fire incidents, will a new inspection operation begin. During inspection, if the water pump malfunctions, a fault alarm message will be given. When input overvoltage, undervoltage, phase loss, output overcurrent, or short circuit occurs, the controller will send an alarm message to the fire center.

The result of this automatic inspection can ensure that the fire water pump will not rust or die, making the fire water supply equipment a reality of "raising troops for a thousand days and using them for a while".
