On the morning of November 15, 2018, the 8th Seminar on Heavy Metal Pollution Prevention and Control Technology and Risk Assessment was successfully held in Tengchong City, Yunnan Province. This conference is hosted by the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences and organized by the Heavy Metal Pollution Prevention and Control Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences. The purpose of this meeting is to refine and implement the design of comprehensive prevention and control tasks for heavy metal pollution, grasp the current status and trends of heavy metal pollution prevention and control technologies, and further promote the prevention and control of heavy metal pollution and ecological restoration work. More than 200 scholars and experts attended the conference. The conference topics cover 10 topics, including comprehensive prevention and control of heavy metal pollution and environmental standards, prevention and control of heavy metal pollution in non-ferrous metallurgy, pollutant reduction and resource recycling, comprehensive prevention and control of heavy metal pollution in typical areas, and site pollution remediation and control. During the conference, experts and scholars gave nearly a hundred wonderful presentations.
