On April 15-17, 2018, the 17th National Symposium on Ion Chromatography was successfully held at Wuhan Wuchang Institute of Technology, and an ion chromatography training course was also held at the same time. On April 16th, the 17th National Academic Conference on Ion Chromatography officially opened. After the opening ceremony, Swiss Wantong released the PILS-IC-VA combined system. Guan Yafeng, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Society of Analytical Instruments and Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Chromatography, Director of the Instrument Analytical Chemistry Research Laboratory at Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Zhu Yan, Executive Director of the Chinese Society of Analytical Instruments, Deputy Director of the Ion Professional Committee, Member of the Chinese Society of Chemistry Chromatography Professional Committee, and Professor from the Department of Chemistry at Zhejiang University, Zhao Zuobin, Dean of Wuchang Institute of Technology, and Liu Binhua, Vice President of Swiss Wantong China Limited, unveiled the new product. At the same time, Wu Yan, who hung banners reading "75th Anniversary of Swiss Wantong's Establishment" and "Wan Ban Trust, Proficient in Analysis", unveiled the new product. The human-machine soared into the sky, attracting the attention of all representatives in the venue.

The Pils IC-VA combined system presented by Swiss company Wantong at the conference is mainly used for continuous automatic measurement of heavy metals and anions and cations in aerosols, and is a solution launched for detecting PM2.5 components.

The gas sample is first converted into a liquid sample through PILS, the Particle To Liquid Sample component, and then analyzed by ion chromatography and voltammetry. The capture and measurement processes of the gas sample have characteristics such as response time and good timeliness. Greatly improved the temporal resolution of atmospheric samples and reduced the manual workload in the analysis process.
