The Shimadzu TOC analyzer supplies a thermal analyzer to measure the relationship between many physical and chemical properties of substances and temperature. So the temperature it can reach is one aspect we are concerned about. Most of the thermal analyzers on the market are around 1000 degrees Celsius. But there are also differences here. The required temperature varies for different materials of the tested items. The majority of glass materials are silicon dioxide, with a melting point typically around 1200 ℃. Therefore, it requires temperatures around 1250 ℃ or even higher. But for some rocks with relatively low temperature requirements, such as calcium carbonate and calcium sulfate, most of them have a temperature of around 800 ℃, and 1000 ℃ is sufficient.

Secondly, what type needs to be selected. There are roughly three types in the market: differential heat type, heavy heat type, and comprehensive type. The differential thermal type can measure parameters such as thermal differential temperature, sensitivity, and range. Thermogravimetric analysis can be used to measure factors such as thermogravimetric temperature, sensitivity, and measurement range. The comprehensive type combines all the performance of the above two types and can measure the thermal gravimetric difference separately. When measuring different properties of samples, it is necessary to choose different types of instruments and consider cost-effectiveness.
