Atomic fluorescence spectroscopy is a trace and ultra trace analysis method. Therefore, when measuring samples with high concentrations, they should be diluted before measurement. If the concentration (especially Hg) is accidentally encountered, the pipeline system will be severely contaminated. The processing method can be to place the current/sample injection tube into a 10% HCl (V/V) solution, start the peristaltic pump for continuous cleaning. If it is still difficult to clean, replace the PTFE tubing. In general, significant improvement can be achieved. If there are still residues that are difficult to remove, the quartz furnace tube should be removed according to the instructions and soaked in 2030% aqua regia for about 24 hours. Then clean it with deionized water, air dry or dry it in an oven before use.
To replace the ignition furnace wire, follow the instructions and replace the spare wire. Do not cut the wire short, otherwise the resistance will change and cannot match the input voltage.
Attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the quartz glass window at the front end of the hollow cathode lamp, which cannot be touched by hand. If any unclean phenomenon is found, the mixed solution mentioned in the second item above should be used to wipe it clean
To keep the surface of the instrument clean, it can be diluted with detergent, soaked in clean gauze, wiped, and then wiped with clean wet gauze.
The lens in the instrument should be kept clean. If any unclean phenomenon is found, a degreasing cotton dipped in a mixture of ethanol and ethyl * can be used to wring it out and wipe it. (The mixture is: 30% ethanol and 70% ethyl *)
The atomization chamber is easily corroded by acid gas and salts, so there will be spots formed by white precipitates on the lens front cap and atomizer, which can be wiped with clean gauze to maintain cleanliness.
