What are the differences between full height turnstiles from different angles?
Date: 2022-01-25Read: 30
Full height turnstile, alias: Rotary Lock. Its high-quality materials and structural design make this rotary gate one of the most expensive gate equipment among all gate machines. We know that the full height turnstile has separate single channel and dual channel options, as far as single channel is concerned. Although the turnstile equipment may appear similar in general, there are differences between them. Did you know? The difference in structure and appearance. There are two types of full height turnstiles in terms of appearance: 120 degree full height turnstiles and 90 degree full height turnstiles (also known as cross turnstiles). It is easy to distinguish between them. From the appearance alone, the 90 degree turnstile has four poles. Whenever personnel recognize passage, the gate poles rotate 90 degrees and automatically lock, hence the name. From a top-down perspective (looking down from the sky), the full height turnstile resembles a "ten" character, so it is also known as a cross turnstile.
What is the difference between a 120 degree full height turnstile and a 90 degree full height turnstile? First of all, from the appearance, we can directly see that each row of the 90 degree full height turnstile has one more turnstile than the 120 degree turnstile. In terms of materials alone, the height of the 90 degree full height turnstile equipment is slightly more expensive. What are the differences inside the gate machine casing? Some customers have asked our gate manufacturer, 'I previously purchased 120 degree turnstile equipment, but now I want to change it to 90 degree turnstile equipment. Can I change it?'? This is usually impossible to change, so when purchasing gate equipment, it is necessary to ask the manufacturer clearly which type of gate equipment it is, and provide detailed dimensional drawings, renderings, etc. to avoid unnecessary disputes after receiving the gate equipment. There is another difference between full height turnstiles. If purchasing a 90 degree (or 120 degree) full height turnstile, the internal movement of the turnstile is also divided into levels. It cannot be seen from the full height gate shell alone. On top of the gate, that is, above the rotating rod, there is a rotary gate movement placed, and whether personnel can push the gate rod to rotate and pass is also controlled by it. Whether it is a 120 degree or 90 degree turnstile, there are two types: mechanical (similar to the control of a three roll brake) and hydraulic. Compared to other models, mechanical models offer higher cost-effectiveness. However, if there is a large flow of people entering and exiting the channel, it is easy to cause wear and tear on the movement. So it is more suitable for places with low foot traffic. The hydraulic movement is an improved version of the mechanical model, with the addition of hydraulic dampers to reduce equipment wear, and the force of personnel push rods can be adjusted by adjusting the dampers. The design is very user-friendly.
