The working principle of a nitrogen blower is to accelerate evaporation through two methods: enhancing the airflow around it and its temperature. Nitrogen is an inert gas that serves to isolate oxygen and prevent oxidation. The nitrogen blower utilizes the rapid flow of nitrogen to break the gas-liquid equilibrium above the liquid, thereby accelerating the evaporation rate of the liquid; And the temperature is increased by dry heating or water bath heating (the boiling point of the target substance is generally higher than that of the solvent), thus achieving the purpose of concentration.
Advantages of nitrogen blowing instrument: (1) It can process multiple samples at once, and its advantages are more obvious in repeated experiments with multiple factors and levels. (2) The experimental operation is simple and flexible. The concentration process can be adjusted at any time without constraints. (3) Long term maintenance by operators is not required in the experiment, saving manpower. (4) The nitrogen blower is accurate and sensitive during concentration, which can avoid sample loss.
