In May 2020, our company signed a contract with Panjin Liaohe Futeng Thermal Power Co., Ltd. for the implementation of the boiler flue gas ultra-low emission desulfurization renovation project.Provide packing layer design, manufacturing, testing, supervision, delivery, and trial operation services for the 1 # and 2 # flue gas desulfurization devices in the 3 × 220t/h boiler flue gas desulfurization ultra-low emission project. The diameter of the desulfurization tower this time is 11.5 meters and 12 meters, including orifice plate corrugated packing and wire mesh demister.

This time, the customer chose PP orifice plate corrugated regular packing due to its excellent separation ability and strong anti blocking ability, which has been widely used in the field of vertical and horizontal regular packing for many years. Until today, PP orifice plate corrugated regular packing is still one of the widely used regular packing materials.

To investigate the reasons, we can summarize them as follows

1. The pressure drop is relatively low, about 30-100Pa per theoretical level;

2. The specific surface area is relatively large, and compared with the Bohr ring, the specific surface area is almost doubled;

3. Within the normal working range, the theoretical level can reach 2-2.5 meters per meter;

4. High flux, comparable to the flux of the wire mesh ripple 500 type;

5. The liquid flooding point is not obvious and has a relatively stable range;

6. Has good anti blocking performance and can be used in operating environments where loose packing and plate towers are not suitable;

7. Good mass transfer performance and strong universality.
