Selection Guide for Smoke Analysis Instruments
Date: 2022-07-01Read: 5

You are still struggling with the uneven prices of products on the marketSmoke analysis instrumentAnd hesitating? Don't know how to choose a suitable smoke analysis instrument for your industry and worry? Are you still worried about whether the purchased smoke analysis instrument has reliable after-sales support? As an honest manufacturer, Shanghai Jingyan Economic and Trade will explain it to youSmoke analysis instrument7 key elements for purchasing:

For equipment buyers, the first thing to clarify is whether the purpose of purchasing a flue gas analyzer is to meet relevant environmental regulations or to strengthen equipment management or monitor combustion efficiency and reduce fuel costs.

The accuracy and cost of the required flue gas analyzer vary depending on the purpose. Generally, portable analyzers have lower costs, but their accuracy is lower compared to analyzers that can control combustion. However, a slight change in the air entering the combustion chamber may significantly affect efficiency and cost. If frequent measurements are required, an effective solution is to install fixed equipment.

If it is only used occasionally, a portable analyzer needs to be prepared. Other factors to consider include the amount of information to be displayed, whether the instrument calibration is easy, whether it is connected to a PC or network to obtain or transmit data, whether it is easy to clean or replace sensors, and what kind of system is needed to monitor sensor aging.

The composition of smoke also needs to be considered, and filters may be needed to block smoke and dust, while moisture must be removed by a regulating system. Once the water vapor in the flue gas condenses and mixes with the ash, it will form solid lumps in the sampling system. In the presence of sulfur, it will form highly corrosive sulfuric acid. This phenomenon can be controlled by keeping the filter temperature above the dew point.

The common sensor technology is electrochemical cell, which is a type of micro fuel cell whose electrical power is proportional to the concentration of flue gas. The electrode material determines the gases it can measure, while the filter can filter out other unmeasurable gases.

If this type of battery is continuously exposed to smoke, it will lose sensitivity, so it must be shut down regularly to restore the balance of the electrodes. Sensors also interact with each other, and NO sensors also exhibit slight reactions to NO2.
