1Emerson F-series quality flow meterInstallation requirements:

1. The installation location should be away from interference sources that can cause mechanical vibration in pipelines, such as pumps on process pipelines. If sensors are used in series on the same pipeline, mutual influence caused by resonance should be prevented, and the distance between sensors should be at least three times the width of the sensor's external dimensions.
2. The installation position of the sensor should pay attention to the expansion and deformation of the process pipeline caused by temperature changes, and should not be installed near the expansion joint of the process pipeline. If installed near the expansion joint, the expansion and contraction of the pipeline will cause lateral stress, resulting in a change in the zero point of the sensor and affecting measurement accuracy.
3. The installation position of the sensor should be away from industrial electromagnetic interference sources, such as high-power motors, transformers, etc. Otherwise, the self harmonic vibration of the measuring tube in the sensor will be interfered with, and the weak signal detected by the speed sensor may be submerged in electromagnetic interference noise. Sensors should be kept at least 5 meters away from transformers and motors.
4. The installation position of the series mass flow meter for measuring liquids, and the installation of the sensor should ensure that the liquid pipe is full, so as to reduce the impact of density changes on measurement accuracy. When the process pipeline needs to be cleaned, the installation position should be able to ensure the emptying of the liquid.
5. When measuring gases, the installation position of the series mass flowmeter should be avoided at the low point of the pipeline to prevent liquid accumulation inside the sensor.

The installation method of sensors is mainly determined by the phase of the fluid and its process conditions, and there are three installation methods.
1. If the fluid being measured is a liquid, the sensor is generally installed with the housing facing downwards to avoid air accumulation in the sensor vibration tube, thereby achieving accurate measurement of mass flow rate
2. If the measured fluid is a gas, the sensor is generally installed with the housing facing upwards to avoid the accumulation of condensate in the sensor vibration tube.
3. If the measured fluid is a mixture of liquid and solid slurry, installing the sensor on a vertical pipeline can prevent particles from accumulating in the Coriolis force measurement tube of the sensor.
In addition, if the process pipeline needs to be cleaned with gas and steam, this installation method can also facilitate cleaning, but it is more difficult to fix than the first two methods and has greater pressure loss.
