Maintenance tips for chillers

chillerIt is a cooling water equipment that can provide constant temperature, constant current, and constant pressure. The chiller can continuously output ice water that is lower than the ambient temperature. It can be used wherever cooling is needed, either directly or indirectly for heat exchange. Chillers can be used to cool injection molds and improve the quality of plastic products; Vacuum coating cooling, controlling the temperature of the vacuum coating machine; Cooling in the food industry, rapid cooling processing; Chemical industry, effectively controlling the temperature of chemicals; Cooling of buildings, rapid cooling and solidification of concrete, etc. The application range of chillers is wide. A chiller is a refrigeration device that cools water and recycles it. The cooling water temperature can be automatically adjusted according to requirements, and it consumes almost no water. Its use can save a lot of water. Therefore, compared to the mode of using tap water discharge to cool the equipment, a chiller is an ideal device that can quickly achieve the desired cooling effect and save energy.
Recently, the weather has become increasingly warm, and many factories' chillers have entered a peak period of cooling. The refrigeration equipment runs frequently, which may lead to various minor malfunctions. Some chillers have already exceeded their shelf life, while others are just minor problems that are not worth finding a refrigeration company to solve. More solutions are neededchillerThe small knowledge of operation and maintenance can help us solve problems in a timely manner, without delaying production, and saving the cost of refrigeration equipment maintenance.
1. When the high and low pressure of the chiller are higher than the normal pressure, one reason is that there is excessive air or refrigerant added to the system. At this time, it is necessary to re evacuate and add an appropriate amount of refrigerant to solve the problem. There is also a situation where the heat dissipation is poor, especially when the ambient temperature is relatively high, which often leads to even worse heat dissipation. The cause of this fault is usually blocked or dirty heat sinks, insufficient fan speed, etc. Try cleaning the heat sink of the condenser.
2. When the high and low pressure of the chiller are lower than the normal pressure, one possible reason may be that the refrigeration system is blocked, and the blocked area has throttling. There will be a significant temperature difference at the throttling area, and the problem can be identified by feeling it with your hands. Another reason is refrigerant leakage, which leads to insufficient refrigerant. This situation is quite common, and in this case, a chiller detector must be used to identify the leakage location and carry out replacement and repair.
3. When the high pressure of the chiller is too low and the low pressure is too high, it is impossible for the chiller to achieve normal cooling effect. The reason is likely due to wear and tear inside the chiller pump, which leads to a decrease in power. At this point, it is necessary to replace the compressor.
4. When the chiller is working and the pressure gauge shakes, it indicates that there is moisture in the system. At this point, it is necessary to vacuum again for at least fifteen minutes, and if necessary, replace the drying filter to eliminate *chillerMoisture in the refrigeration system.
