Compare the pressure loss and examine the magnitude of energy consumption during the measurement of flow rate between the two.

Example 1: Measurement of saturated steam flow in a certain factory, with a pipeline inner diameter of 257; Working absolute pressure 0.9MPa; Operating Temperature

175.35℃; Density 4.655kg/m3; High flow rate of 30t/h; The commonly used flow rate is 20t/h.

The orifice plate and V-cone have the same β=0.6.

The calculation results are as follows (refer to the CD material for the calculation formula and process):

When the common flow rate is 20t/h, the pressure loss of the orifice plate is 14.162kPa

The pressure loss of the V-cone is 6.523kPa

The orifice plate and V-cone have the same β=0.6955. The calculation results are as follows:

The pressure loss of the orifice plate under common flow rate is 1.894kPa

The pressure loss of the V-cone is 0.479kPa

The pressure loss of the orifice plate is 1.415kPa greater than that of the V-cone, which consumes more energy per hour under the same flow conditions
