What are the main characteristics of a swirl flowmeter?
Spiral vortex flowmeter belongs to velocity measuring instruments. The fluid entering the flowmeter generates a vortex flow through a vortex generator. The vortex flow spirals in the Venturi tube and reaches the contraction section where it suddenly throttles, accelerating the vortex flow. When the vortex enters the diffusion section, it is forced to enter the spiral type secondary rotation due to the reflux effect. The frequency of the vortex flow is proportional to the medium velocity and has a linear relationship. It is detected by a pressure sensor, and the weak electrical signal detected can be converted into a flow signal after processing.
At the natural gas flow measurement site, there are often some special users, mainly manifested as small instantaneous flow or large flow fluctuation amplitude. If traditional orifice flow meters are still used for flow measurement in this situation, it is likely to violate the relevant technical standards. Therefore, the emergence of this product greatly helped Sister solve these problems.
The main characteristics of a vortex flowmeter are:
1. No mechanical movable parts, corrosion-resistant, stable and reliable, long service life, no need for special maintenance during operation;
2. Implemented mechatronics integration, eliminating the need for manual monitoring in daily measurement processes;
3. The installation conditions for the process are not strict, and the straight pipe sections upstream and downstream of the instrument can be greatly shortened compared to orifice plates and vortex flowmeters;
4. The measurement accuracy of the system can meet the current trade measurement requirements (≤ 1.5%);
5. The flow measurement range is wide and can effectively work in small flow areas that orifice plates and vortex flowmeters cannot access;
6. Small size, light weight, and convenient offline calibration;
7. The measurement signal can be displayed locally or transmitted remotely as needed;
8. The management personnel of the vortex flowmeter do not require professional training. Measurement parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature can be directly read from the meter head without the need for conversion;
9. Just need to regularly replace the battery (low power consumption) and the parameters of the tested medium;
10. Significant pressure loss; When the circulating medium is gas, the pressure loss is about 3-4 times that of a vortex flowmeter.
