How to maintain and clean stainless steel kitchenware
Date: 2022-02-13Read: 20
Cleaning and maintaining stainless steel kitchen utensils is actually very simple. Kitchen cleaning and maintenance are actually very simple. Just clean the kitchen after cooking three meals, or regularly maintain the kitchen, or hire a kitchen utensil company to provide security check services for the kitchen at home. This not only keeps the kitchen clean as new, but also eliminates the trouble of year-end cleaning. The cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen has always been a headache for chefs. Oil stains, rust, and other dirt are difficult to explain. The following is a brief introduction to the cleaning and maintenance principles for various equipment in the kitchen
Stainless steel kitchenware includes stainless steel cookware (stainless steel pots, stainless steel stoves, etc.), stainless steel tableware (knives, forks, chopsticks, bowls, etc.), stainless steel kettles, stainless steel utensils, etc. Although stainless steel has good corrosion resistance, it will eventually oxidize if exposed to corrosive environments. Therefore, Le Wang Hotel Supplies believes that regular cleaning and maintenance of stainless steel surfaces are necessary to maintain their gorgeous appearance and extend their service life.
Cleaning and maintenance methods for stainless steel kitchenware
1. Be careful not to cause surface scratches Do not use rough and sharp materials to scrub the surface of stainless steel, especially mirror polished ones. Use a softer and less likely to fall off cloth to scrub. For sandblasted steel and brushed surfaces, wipe along the grain, otherwise it is easy to scratch the surface.
2. Avoid using detergents, steel wire balls, grinding tools, etc. containing bleaching agents and abrasives. To prevent residual detergents from corroding the stainless steel surface, rinse the surface with clean water at the end of the washing process.
3. Stainless steel surfaces with dust and easily removable dirt can be washed with soap or weak detergent. For adhesive components, use alcohol or organic solvents (such as benzene) to scrub.
4. Oil, grease, and lubricant contamination on the surface of stainless steel should be wiped clean with a soft cloth, and then cleaned with neutral detergent or ammonia solution or detergent in the future.
The surface of stainless steel has bleach and various acid attachments. Immediately rinse with water, then soak in ammonia solution or neutral carbonated soda water solution, and wash with neutral detergent or warm water.
5. The rainbow pattern on the surface of stainless steel is caused by excessive use of detergent or oil. It can be washed away by neutral washing with warm water during washing.
6. Rust caused by surface contaminants on stainless steel can be washed with 10% or grinding detergent, or with specialized cleaning agents. As long as we use the correct maintenance methods, we can extend the service life of stainless steel and maintain its clean, bright, and magnificent appearance
7. Stainless steel cookware rust spots should be dry ground with No. 0 water sandpaper; But first, it is necessary to determine whether there is rust. If it is only a general burnt smoke spot, it is advisable to wipe it with kitchen cleaner or cleaning powder to remove it. You can also soak it in water overnight, then use a small piece of 1000 grit sandpaper and carefully grind it with your fingers on the charred area. Alternatively, you can buy a 400 grit sandpaper and soak it in water, then gently grind it a few times to remove it. Do not use excessive force to avoid scratching the pot body. Fine burn marks can be wiped off with a "scouring pad" dipped in cleaning powder and a little detergent.
