The difference from previous Furd lectures is that the focus of the lecture has shifted from telling the story of sample pretreatment with Furd instruments to users telling the art of grinding and sieving. Engineer Li Wei, the director of the Basic Rock and Mineral Public Laboratory at the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, shared with the audience the importance of sample pretreatment technology for subsequent experimental steps and introduced the application of the German Retsch instrument in single mineral separation. What is even more rare and valuable is that Professor Li Wei passionately introduced the ten-year friendship between the Guangzhou Institute of Geochemistry of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Fuerde Instruments in the form of playing historical photos.
