Requirements for fire water pumps

1) All castings should have no obvious defects such as scars, bubbles, sand holes, etc. on the outer surface.

2) The pump body and various exposed casings and boxes should be sprayed with bright red paint. The coating quality should comply with relevant regulations.

3) The shape, size, and installation dimensions of the fire water pump should match the installation drawing provided for the fire equipment.

4) The model, name, and characteristics of the pump indicated on the nameplate should be consistent with the design specifications.

2. Material requirements for fire water pumps

1) The casing of the water pump should be made of ductile iron, and the impeller of the water pump should be made of bronze or stainless steel.

2) The material certificates of the pump body, pump shaft, impeller, etc. should meet the requirements.

3. Structural requirements for fire water pumps

1) The structural form of the pump should ensure easy on-site maintenance and replacement of parts. Fasteners and self-locking devices should not loosen due to vibration or other reasons.

2) An arrow indicating the direction of rotation should be cast on the body of the fire pump.

3) The pump should be equipped with a drain plug, which should be located at a low position to drain the remaining water in the pump.

4. Mechanical performance requirements for fire water pumps

1) The model of the fire pump is consistent with the design model, and the flow rate, head, and power of the pump comply with the design requirements and current relevant standards.

2) The shaft seal is well sealed and there is no wireless leakage phenomenon.
